As the weather begins to deteriorate, pants make their (most unwelcome) return.
You can see socks have not yet become an option, proving my trouble accepting that winter is on it's way. Or it may simply be some sort of separation anxiety associated with these shoes, which I've easily worn over a hundred times since their purchase.
Before I go off on a tangent on my love for these geisha beauties, I really want to talk about this plaid shirt and in turn, where I bought it.
A few days ago, Hannah and I decided to go on a small excursion with the intention of visiting Black Market to check out their new T-shirt collection; however, on the way there we were side tracked by a seemingly small shop called Tribal Rhythm. One might pass it's simple exterior without realizing it's incredible potential, solely because of the booming Starbucks right next door. What these venti-soy-latte-with-extra-whip drinkers don't know is that right beneath their feet lays an eccentric vintage shop filled with oddities ready to be explored. Although the smell of basement combined with old clothes may be a tad sickening, you're sure to find some hidden treasures amongst their crowded aisles and costume jewelry counters.
What drew my attention was the 8 foot rack built into one of the walls, on which hung copious amounts of tattered plaid. I'm not exactly sure why, or how I'm always drawn to red, but this case was no exception; I saw it immediately and at $18 I absolutely had to have it. It's a little worn, but I believe that it adds character to an otherwise typical shirt.
A feature I really liked about Tribal Rhythm is that on their tags, it shows your what year/decade your garment dates back to. This particular shirt is from the 90s, so it be just as old as me!
I promise you, You guys'll be seeing a lot more of this shirt.
If you guys end up visiting the shop (which I think you should), I would love to hear what you guys thought of it :)
