It's September, and those of you who (like me) have started school know that this month can be quite the crazy one.
Within just a couple weeks I left work, moved back to the city, started school and dove right into my already climbing pile of homework. But, after a long and unfortunately boring summer, I've been nothing but happy with my full schedule.
Starting my second year of Fashion Communications means I need to step up my wardrobe game, and it looks like I'm off to a good start.

Starting my second year of Fashion Communications means I need to step up my wardrobe game, and it looks like I'm off to a good start.
Already in the first two weeks, I've made some questionable style decisions, but I did have a few good outfits I thought were worth showing you guys! The first is this lovely, simple ensemble to the left. Before leaving my much loved job, I bought one last thing: this blouse. It is so comfortable, not unlike all the other RW&Co. merchandise I own. I must admit, I was nervous to wear it because I have to ride the streetcar to school and didn't want to ruin the crisp white fabric. Fortunately, I picked a good day, and for the first time, I wasn't made a human sandwich, and was able to sit alone. I still remained cautious and tried my hardest not to touch anything around me (it is a little absurd, I am aware). The pants, being from RW&Co. as well, worked as a perfect pair. I love my high contrast yet neutral outfits; however, I did add a dark pink lip to bring in just a little colour. |
The second outfit on the right is unsurprisingly from RW&Co. as well (featured also in my last post). I think this is actually my favourite outfit of the week only because my beloved thigh-highs have returned. It has gotten cold, fast in the last week or so which explains the knit sweater. But of course, due to my incapability to be satisfied, I couldn't go full autumn quite yet, and decided to wear a skirt. It actually worked out better than I thought it would; the result being quite cute, and perfect for the quickly approaching fall. |
Lastly, another black and white outfit to the left. I actually wore this one today. Continuing on with the Reitmans theme, this cardigan (also featured in my last post) is from Aditionelle... just to keep it in the family. I wasn't feeling particularly well today so I opted for something that was a little more loose fitting and comfortable. I've been quite obsessed with this cardigan actually, and wear it as often as I can without people becoming suspicious of uncleanliness. Being in Fashion school though, you do always have to dress up your outfits, at least enough to look like you haven't just rolled out of bed. So, I threw on a pearl necklace which was given to me when I was a child, and slapped on some lipstick. Burgundy is my favourite shade, so with great pleasure, it was resurrected. |
Fall is my favourite time of year; I can wear black all the time without coming off as goth and I can say "I'm actually freezing" without the glaring stares of dozens around me. There is something about cool breeze and comfortable sweaters that really speak to me. I hope that those of you who have started up school again are as excited as I am. I promise since I've got to get dressed everyday, there will be plenty of outfits and stories to share.
All the best,
Tach xo
